C6 Envelopes — Artwork Set-up + Options

NO registration marks are required. Supply PDF as ACTUAL SIZE only. (even if you have Bleed to the edge)

Printing:

Printed Full Colour digitally via Over-printing.
Supply as actual size, press-ready PDF only, at actual size of 162mm x 114mm (no reg. marks reqd)
Best to keep 4mm clear zone all around, otherwise you can choose the "Bleed to Edge" option below at additional cost.

SELF-SEAL – 90gsm S/S White – optional

Flap depth on reverse is 29mm deep.
Self-Seal Flaps are Top, Long-Edge Wallet.
Both Flaps are DOWN by default.

ARTWORK NOTES:

NO registration marks are required. Supply as ACTUAL SIZE only (even if you have Bleed to the edge).
Set all artwork to CMYK (no Grayscale or RGB allowed as colour shifts will occur) for best results. Any existing spot colour Pantone ink references should be converted completely to CMYK only.
Convert all Fonts to paths/outlines before making PDF.
Avoid text less than 5pt. Avoid Serif fonts under 6pt.
Printing cannot occur on any of the edges or creases, as the envelope is Over-printed only (and not flat-sheet).

Flap is always at the Top (long-edge Wallet Flap).
Save your PDF as actual size (NO crop or reg. marks!) at canvas size of 162 x 114 only.

Special Note:

Ink will run if it gets wet! These are not intended to be used in continuous outdoor environment. Given the nature of envelopes, the paper and content should remain dry. Please manage your customers' expectations in lieu.

SIZE CLEAR ZONE GUIDELINES
Keep 8mm clear zone around all edges for important text and images, although bleed is available off the three non-glued edges - in that case, CROP MARKS will be required (don't need Bleed marks!) with 3mm BLEED on three non-glued edges.

Printed Full Colour on:

1 side only - 4/0 is the main FRONT side

2 side double-sided 4/4 - when printing TERMS & CONDITIONS on the reverse, please use a maximum 50% Black tint or Grey.

Sequential Numbering

Usually created as 5 digits (up to 7 digits max.) as 00001 etc.; do NOT put the numbering on the actual PDF artwork (otherwise it'll print on the job) but leave space (12mm tall x 30mm wide) describe its location in the box below. However you can start the sequential numbering wherever you like e.g. 01001-01500 etc. - numbering size is usually based around 14pt Arial and Black ink as default. We only do CRASH Numbering (thus the number is printed on the top copy but the pressure goes down through all the sheets).

We can alter the size and colour as it's digital numbering (e.g. 10pt in Red ink) on request.

Sequential Numbering Starting From

Sequential Numbering Position

You need to describe the position such as "Top Right beside Service Report", "Top Left beside Letter A", "Centre Top under Address". DON'T include numbering on your actual PDF artwork otherwise it'll print on the job. We need 12mm tall x 30mm wide of free space on your artwork for the sequential numbering area.

Drill Holes

2 Drill Holes are based on standard 80mm centre-to-centre ring binders, whether for 2-hole or 4-hole variants.

Using 5mm Drill.

NOTE: Remember if placing TERMS & CONDITIONS on the reverse to be aware of Orientation / Positioning through a vertical rotation axis.

Writing Shields

Inserted Loose Writing Shields are standard configuration with NCR Pads, and is a peel-off Shield on White uncoated 4-sheet (250gsm) Card. This stops the impression transferring to NCR Sets below the current Set you are using.

Optional upgrade of Attached Hinged Writing Shields ["HWS"] is the same type of White uncoated 4-sheet (250gsm) Card as above, but extended to wrap over the edge and physically attached to the Pad (so you don't lose it).
